Cracked Ice Video Captures the Joy
“Sweet Feeling”
In the video below, Cracked Ice performs live at the Metropolitan Room in New York City, celebrating the release of its debut album “Soul Noir”. The album features original songs written and produced by Cracked Ice Founder and saxophonist extraordinaire Crispin Cioe. It also features the R&B hit cover “Sweet Feeling”, originally recorded by Candi Staton. Here, singer Susan Didrichsen slays the tune. Her rendition caught on with the shag dancing crowd in the beach music scene. The single soared into the Top Ten on the Myrtle Beach Charts. Inspired by “Susan Didrichsen’s vigorous, aching vocals”, Puntamayo World Music re-released the single in a compilation album.
